Why do I do the Funnies?To answer many questions why I do and have been doing the Funnies for 11 years I wanted to clarify the situation. NO, I don't have sponsors, I do not sell the mailing list nor do I have advertisers. I never did and never will. Many years ago, my sister was very sick. I could not do much to help to my great chagrin. So I decided to make her laugh by sending jokes to her CompuServe Account. Soon after she copied them to all other patients in the oncology unit. I began to get many requests from other patients and doctors at other hospitals. After she died, I stopped doing the funnies but many patient were asking for them... I decided to make it my contribution to the ones who is not as lucky as they should. Often it is the only piece of sunshine they will have in their difficult days. 11 years later, there is more than 90,000 reader in the "Funnies" list. Most of them people like you and me who can use a smile in their daily routine... Still many of the readers are in hospitals or at home. I always feel uneasy when a long time Funnies reader comes back as "user not found". This explain this web site. I wanted to learn HTML and decided to continue the mission... I was told many times over that I am funnier than good programmer. Now, if you join the list, you have to understand that the primary goal is to make people laugh not to be politically correct nor being proper, just being funny.
